Marijke Mink studied at the Art Academy of Arnhem. She makes modest-looking but highly concentrated drawings using water colour, ink, crayon and pencil on paper. People, dead and alive, with their stuff, in booklets and in interiors, are my source of inspiration. Drawing is my means. My adage: I will roar like a houseplant. She creates jewels of high intensity, which only slowly unfold upon close examination.
