His playful “Museum of Relics”, that contains found objects, drawings, texts, and photographs, deals with questions about immortality. He draws portraits representing inner beings and human nature rather than existing persons, but also makes ‘In Memoriam’ portraits, and commissioned portraits.

Meinbert Gozewijn van Soest exhibited in the Teylers Museum, Museum Kranenburgh, the Mesdag Collection, and Rijksmuseum Twenthe, and different solo expositions. His work is present in various private and public collections, incl. the Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, the DSM-Art Collection, Teylers Museum, and the Public Archive of Amsterdam.
