Mathias Lulu (1974-2013) graduated from the School of Fine Arts in 2001. He co-founded, is a member of the Habesha studio, a group of young artists that share a studio-cum-gallery space in Addis Ababa. During our exhibition dedicated to contemporary Ethiopian visual art in 2004, we presented his dreamy landscapes based on his memories of living on a lake in his youth.
